Man it was a hot November 5 here in Northern Virginia. By noon it was like 65 degrees...after sitting on stad for 7 hours I finally saw a good buck but couldnt get a shot around 4. I got down at 5 and backed out so I wouldnt spook the buck...I walked down the powerlines at a pretty good rate to get back to my truck. I came over a hill and there stood two doe. I hit my knees and knocked an arrow. The doe started walking toward me for some reason. When she got to 30 yards I stood up, drew my bow, and made a little sound. She turned to a perfect quartering away angle and I placed my 30 yard pin on her vitals, then I let it rip...all I heard was "crunch!" I knew it hit the ribs. She ran only 25 yards and fell over dead. What a slow day that turned into some really neat action quick!~

Hey Shadow...Great Job! Thats one of the reasons I love bowhunting so much. You just never know when something like that may happen. I remember last year, I didn't see anything moving at all. I turned around and was puting stuff back in my pack. Got the bow ready to lower, turned around to clip bowon the string and there is a deer about 18 yrds. How he got there with out me seeing him [&:].The good thing is stuff like that makes for a longer story.....Then you get to tell it over and over
Do you have any pics?
Congrats!!!

Man the arrow went in classic---mid way broadside and came out right behind the far leg---she went crashing through the thicket and I am not kidding you, I waited 15 seconds, then heard her crash. I crept around the corner of the thicket and saw her dead on the ground no more than 60 seconds later.
