Default best way to lock a treestand?

what are some ways that you can help to at least TRY and prevent theft. obviously a cable and lock, but theres always bolt cutters. any ideas? i have a ladder buddy stand, and i am just worried someone might get the five finger discount.

I put a heavy duty chain on my ladder stand and locked it,you could also put one of those steel cables with the locks on it too?I would consider putting a hidden trail camera some where close aimed at your stand area with No-flash so it can't be detected....I HATE Thiefs! [:@]

its true that if they want it, they'll get it.

i put a kryptonite cable through the actual platform, using cutters to cut the mesh to form a big enough hole in the platform for the cable to get thru.

and then i also put a lock on the chain that hold it to the tree.

i also dont put them out in the open. if i am gonnna hunt an open spot, i mark it on my gps at the base of the tree or put cat eyes up to the base of that tree and hunt outta my climber.
