I prefer the corn to be cut down just about now and that's just what the good farmer did this past weekend. Itforces any deer living in there back to the woodsduring the day so I can set up to intercept them coming back for the evening feed. Thereis enough corn laying around to keep them coming back for quite awhile.

As has been stated, good and bad. Bad for the rut, in my experiance, rutting actionhas always been slower around standing corn (because they are spending time in it and you just dont see them)
after the rut....then it is good, deer will flock to it as a food source. Hunt the edges, and as mentioned, try a SLOW drive or two just before harvest.
Now if you have some experiance on the ground and are pretty stealthy....do some still hunting on a windy day. I have not done so in a corn fieldbut have seen results of people i know.

thats just it, i am not patient enough to still hunt through it. I agree that later in the year it will be an amazing food source, but right now(pre rut) it is holding the deer and making them nearly unkillable, but I know they will follow does coming out of them so I have been setting up on routes to/from the corn in hopes to intercept a big ol buck!

Can be good and bad. Big bucks love standing corn, great way to keep him close to you. If he thinks he is safe he will eventually follow a hot doe out, just need to be sitting on the right trail waiting. Good luck
