What goes good in a corn pile?
Hey, I just threw out 700lbs of corn tonight and I was wondering what are some good things to put in the pile ot spice it up? The reason I ask is because I just purchased this piece of land and I know all the guys around the property use corn too. What is something I can put in the pile to attract the deer to my corn piles? Better yet is corn even the best thing to use? I have heard of apples and sugar beets doing good. Or should I maybe possibly mix and match?
Thanks Andrew

Waste of corn. Get a feeder and it will spray feed to your program. If you pile it, make several small - 1 yard - piles. Apples work real well to bring them in - cow corn oes not smell to strong - once they develop he pattern, they will come back.

You are going to have a lot of sprouting corn. 700lbs? Thats almost two 55gal. drums. Dang.
I use molasses. Works good, if you don't mind feeding coons.
My first suggestion would be DON'T put out so much corn. Put about a 1/2 of a 50lb bag out per "pile".
