Default Licorice Cover Scent?

Opinions? I have a friend who uses AMPACET which is a black licorice extract, by placinga little bit on his shirt collar. He claims it not only covers his human scent, but the sweet smell makes deer curious as to it's source, and they tract him back to his stand. I have yet to try it and before I do .....what do you guys think. Anyone ever hear of this and does it work?

I've also heard of using Vanilla extract - same as above, but I haven't tried it.

licorice,ne car scent, and vanilla are all supposed to be very good but the new car scent is supposed to be the best according to a study conducted by some university last year

I seem to remember "Trail's End" or similar scent to have a definite licorice base. I would put it under the curiosity scent category not cover scent.....unless you have wild licorice where you hunt.
