Were they wearing gang colors? Just wonderin' if they were Crips or Bloods.

I would have shot one. Only good coyote is a dead one.

Trapped several of them when I was younger in Vermont. If you get close to them while in the trap, they are pretty mean. Still, nothing is meaner than a coon in a trap......mink are pretty mean too.

My uncle got surrounded by coyotes walking in turkey hunting one morning. The one got within 20 yards and when he tried to scare it away it would run back a few yrds and then come back to following him. They didnt want to back down at first but finally they figured out that he wasnt food and ran away. I guess they thought he was a deer or something.

Why would anyone want to shoot a coyote anyway? Are they good to eat?

UMMMMMMMM, maybe because you like to deer hunt could be one reason...? They kill deer, rabbits, and other small game when they are hungry.. Do you have any idea how many fawns coyotes kill and eat..? No you dont eat coyotes, but I dont eat crows either but do I hunt them... Uh, yah.. hunting for food is one type of hunting, but its definitely not the only type..

I only kill what I'm going to eat, and I feel that should be a rule. Crow hunting is ridiculous. Coyotes eat mostly rabbits, mice and bugs and stuff. Deer are a very small part of their diet, and shooting a coyote isn't going to make any significant difference to your game hunting. Same holds true with wolves. Yes, they take deer, but if you do the math, they don't take enough to significantly affect deer hunting.
