PA Guys...what's going on out there?
#1
Ok, we are 3 weeks into the season and I have not been in the wood but for about 5 hours so far (family things going on). I am finally at a stretch that I can hunt the weekends and will be taking some much needed time off work to get out there. Going to be hunting in Franklin Co. and then traveling north to Towanda to get some hunting in...
What sign is everyone seeing out there at this point? Rub Lines, Scrapes, Chasing, Trolling?
I have some areas scouted from pre-season, but will need to do some serious in season scouting to see where the travel has changed.

Things have been slow in Bradford County. Lots of rubs popping up, but no scrapes yet and the buck movement seems to be mostly nocturnal. I'm hoping we get a cold snap with the weather, I'd expect things to be a bit more active over the next few weeks though.

One more thing, weather is supposed to end up in the low 20's at night and low to mid 40's during daylight with lots of fronts coming in and potential snow as well starting 11/1. I have the entire last week of season off work, and am hoping this weather gets them stirred up a bit!

I have off Nov 2nd, and will be coming up the evening of the 1st. Will be hunting that Friday and Saturday up there...Snow and 20 - 40 for temps. You have no idea how long I've been waiting to hear that. Sure is better than 70-80.

I know exactly where that is, 219 has some good deer as well. If you guys get antsy or things are slow there, there is some great hunting and LOTS of big woods public ground on Armenia Mountain in Canton. My property is just outside of Canton. You probably take 414 out of Canton to head north towards Towanda I would imagine, and when you do my place is on the right on top of that ridge just about 1 mile past the main light in Canton.

Lots of good bucks taken this year. Many more than I seem to remember in previous years and I do try to pay attention to such things...
I have seen quite a bit of scrape activity over the last week. More seem to pop up every night. Bucks also seem to have start really chasing does over the last few days.
With the weather change over the next day or two it is going to be an excellent time to be out in the woods.
