Has anyone had luck shooting mechanicals through the shoot through mesh on blinds? I'm asking specifically about rage 2-blades or rocket sidewinders, but info on any head would be helpful.

I haven't shot either of the 2 heads you mentioned through mesh, but I have shot 2 different types through mesh (both were 0-ring or rubber-band type heads) and both of them opened up when they went through the ground blind mesh.
I actually found this out 3 years ago when I shot a turkey from the blind - amazingly even though the blades opened up, I still managed to hit the turkey at 35 yards (luck maybe?). I then tried out another type of head (can't remember the name) and it also opened up when shot through the mesh. I would recommend staying with fixed broadheads for shooting through this.

Funny this came up,last week i bought a shoot thru ground blind and set it up in the yard and shot a rage 3 blade thru it...........it hit the bottom of the taget, figured it opened up when it went thru, but it could of been my fault for not checking it before I shot it but how often do/should you check it.if your in a blind and a deer walks by are you going to go...better check my BH before I shoot.NOT...even tho you looked at it when you arrowed your bow it should be good...anyway they shot fine for me without going thru the mesh but now I put Wasp BH on two of my bows and Slick Trick on my other bow.I will more then likely still use the Rage but for now its going to be fixed blade due to the fact after ThursI will only have one good arm and Iam shooting CB now, surgery on the 25th oct and atleast 1-2 weeks with no hunting, but Iam going to try and get out to the ground blind........

well dont forget that you will use it more than one season hopefully. and most company have replaceable shoot through.i use ameristep blinds and have had great luck but i hardly ever use mechanicals. so i'm kind of a skewed opinion.
