Question about hunting
#1
ok I live in Arkansas, my question is while muzzleloader season is going on and modern gun season is going on, is it legal to kill a doe with a bow? i've heard alot of this and im really confused because here you need a doe permit if you want to kill a doe during muzzleloader or modern gun so would you probably need a permit to kill one with a bow too?

I can't answer for Arkansas, but in MO you can indeed hunt w/ a bow during firearms season, but you MUST abide by all firearms regs.....that includes hunting on a firearms tag, NOT your archery tag....

In NC....we can hunt through all seasons (all weapons). Our tags are not "weapon-specific".....but the extra doe tags that were implemented this year are land specific (private) and there are regs as to what weapons they may be taken with (other than bow). I can kill unlimited does, this year, with archery tackle, where I hunt.

yea thats what I was asking so you have to abide by firearms regulation? see in Arkansas you can use a bow but I dont know if you can kill a doe with it, for firearmsyou have to be drawn for a permit andI forgot about the deadline. I mean there are no specific tags like GMMat is talking about this is just in general

Same as PA Jeff, With a license you get ONE buck tag....you can apply for additional doe tags.
Bows are allowed in rifle season and the late flintlock season is also the 2nd archery season.
Tags are not weapon specific.
