Since I've never been a Bowtech shooter, tell me the difference in feel between the "smooth mods" and the "speed mods". I am enjoying the continuing flow of info.

The Bowtech General and the Airbornes are entirely different bows designed for different purposes. Decide what you want from your bow, shoot them all, and make your Purchase.Or you could just buy them all. Then the hard decision on which one to shoot

Smooth mods feel as smooth as a single cam to me coming back smoothly with a slight drop into the valley and a solid backwall. Speed Mods are harsh to get the speed out of them. They didnt feel as good to me soI opted for the smooth mods.

Thanks, Dan. Plenty of time. I'll probably be testing and buying somewhere around the first of the new year.

1/8th of an inch can make a huge difference. And if you look at the timeline of things, BowTech is doing things that PSE was trying to do 10 years ago, and still hasn't gotten right yet. Parts Shattered Everywhere came from those early speed bows that loved to blow their limbs. The fact that PSE has finally done with a 6" bow what BowTech, Darton, APA, Alpine, and High Country can do with anywhere from 1/8th to 1 3/8" more brace height just really don't blow my skirt up. The x-force is impressive from the standpoint that those super stiff limbs can somehow not come apart. And its a gold star for PSE, as they have been chasing that rainbow for sometime.

PSE will just follow suit with another speed bow. Maybe they will give this one a solid backwall, and enough valley to have at least 65% let off. A fox in feathers ain't a hen, and a speed bow in a camo dip ain't forgiving. But, just like Ted Nugent can drive his Corvette to go get groceries, you can hunt with a wrist slapper.

No way you can compare an X-Farce and a bowtech... night and day difference in my opinion. Not just in draw and shot, and accuracy... but in technology. Still if I was an investor, I'd put money in PSE... but thats for a completely different set of reasons.
