What doesn't work good in layers?..
UA is just colorful spandex, if you want to dress in camo leotards that's your business, pantyhose will keep you warm too but would you be caught dead in them?

Really so you have worn UA? Since you know how pantyhose work; I guess you have worn those also

BTW I have not worn UA so I do not know how it works, but I have used PolarTec products and they work great. I am about 40% less bulky with polartec in cold weather.

That's why I like the UA. So much less bulkiness than other long underwear. In the past I have used long underwear that was so bulky it was hard to pull my bow back. For bowhunting I like to dress as warm and bulk free as possible. UA makes this possible.

It's works as good as anything else I buy (patagonia, North Face) in the same weight.

It's a warm, comfortable layer. It serves its purpose.

on cold days, I wear both UA and polypros. Don't wear anything under the UA, totally defeats the purpose though.

I wonder if some of you are confusing regular UA with the COLD GEAR. I just used the cold gear UA in Quebec on a caribou hunt and found it to be very warm and comfortable with no bulk. The regular UA is not intended to keep you warm, only wick moisture. The cold gear will do both very well and I have tried everything out there. It is meant to be a base layer but used with a good windstopper sweater or coat I think it is hard to beat. Good luck all.

I like cold gear...but agree it need layers if temps are below 30*

And Germ Panty hose worked well in the day too...course you knew that.

And when BigJay chimes in and says they wore them under their uniforms..your jokes will subside...lol
