I haven't used the under armour brand, but have used the cheap stuff walmart sells and it works very well. The only thing that I don't like is that the shirt wants to creep up your back, I got a size larger and tucked it in and that worked pretty good. In all, it is very effective.

It works but it's pricey. At Campmor they sell closeouts of Duofold stuff that works just as well for 1/3 the price. Duofold has been making longjohns for active outdoor sports like skiing since before I was born(long time) so they know what they're doing. Underarmor has the popular hype going for it!

Money well spent. I've been wearing them as my base layer for 2 seasons now. If you do a lot of spot and stalk, they are the way to go. They'll also keep you from being so sweaty when you arrive to your stand, so you won't freeze to death because you're damp. They do a great job wicking moisture, and you don't feel clammy even if you're soaking wet because you forgot your rain gear.TheCold Gearhas a fleece lining that will cut the chill that alot ofthe cheaper base layers don't have. They'll run you about $40-$50 per piece depending on where you shop. I'm thinking of buying some of the Heat Gear for early season bow.

I have used Cold weather underarmor for two winters now. It performs wonderfully. I find that it does wick away sweat and or any water from my body. Just make sure that you throw it in the dryer regularly if not wash it. The sweat smell will build up fast otherwise.
