Default Tracking advice.

Well i had a large doe come in at 20 yards tonight right at last light. I shot and she took off like a dart into the corn. I didnt see where i hit. I waited hour and a half a then went after her. Blood started within 10 yards of the hit. Good dark blood all over the corn. Then some gutty lookin blood. We tracked her for 250+ yards into the corn and the we got within 15 yards of her and she jumped up ran about 40 yards then all was quiet. Hope fully shes laying there in the morning. When i shot i thought she was broadside but she may of been slightly quartering towards me. Im guessing i got one lung, liver and then exited out the guts. Any advice or what you think the shot was?? O and its susposed to get down to 42ish tonigt is that cool enough to keep the meat good?

Sounds like you hit what you think.... liver anyway. Not sure you got a lung. She should be close to where you saw her.

Congrats on the doe and it happened to one or will happen to all of us over our hunting career.
