why would you kill the fawn over the doe?

Well this is how it worked out, my nephew who is 29 and never got a deer with his bow had the doe and fawn in range, but when the fawn was licking on the doe he backed off. Hedid get a shot at a nice buck but missed, but he was still happy that he at least got a shot at one.
