20 30 40 for me too, but don't use my 40 either unless it's for 3-D. For me Ilimit my shots at deer to 30 35 yards max

I have a 10-yd pin for those close-inshots.My 20-yd pin would be an inch or two high at 10yds, not much delta, but most of the deer I shoot are under 15yds. Just me.

Doesn't sound like you've shot enough to figure it out. In that case I say practise more and find out long before you try to hunt.
