I know there's deer there. I've killed plenty in both places. I'm doing all the right things as far as scent control, playing the wind, and stand approach. I'm not over-calling or anything like that either. In one of the properties the problem is just too many hunters (although they claim to be seeing deer).

It'll happen. I think it's a combination of the weather, hunting pressure, and just bad luck. Last year my work schedule allowed me to hunt mostly in the mornings during the week. This year I can only do evenings and weekends. That's why I'm seeing so many more hunters.

We have a three month bow season so there's plenty of time left. And the best is yet to come. I just need all the patience I can muster right now.

Try staying awake on the stand next time. The deer resemble an over grown dog in most cases just incase you have forgotten.

That's the truth. Sounds like you just might be building yourself up for a missed shot. It will come and when it does stay calm and follow through.
Just my 2 cents.

Somethings going on. My chickens aren't laying eggs. Others have mentioned the same thing. Somethings going to break soon.
