It was in the 90s this last weekend and I went Sunday morning and that was a mistake. Sometimes it is just best to stay home rather than lay down unnecessary scent when the deer aren't likely to move during unseasonably warm weather. I don't think the old adage "you can't kill one on the couch!" applies in the blistering heat.

First day it was 90*and humid . I was soaked by the time i got in the stand. seen 13 deer and killed a doe. So it was not hot enough to keep me from having some luck. Hope it cools down soon. 90 is my limit, till it gets hotter.

Currently none of my stands are near a water source but more near a food season.

The single biggest factor preventing me from hunting in the heat is meat spoilage. If I hit one and have to leave it overnight, I want to know that the meat is going to be good when I find it the next morning. I need night time lows in the 40s ideally.
