Default Man they're spooky

I moved in a an area I knew deer were traveling thorugh this AM. About 7:20 here come 3 bucks. They come from one field into a hedgerow. They're heading straight for me. I'm in the right spot. So, they stop on the edge of my field about 100 yards out. They start burning holes in the hedgerow that's off to the West backing up to some houses. They stared at the houses and hedgerow for 20 minutes. They finally did an about face and went back where they came from. They stopped on top of a hill about 300 yards away and surveyed every direction for about 10 minutes. Then promptly turned and ran right past the tree I was in Friday when I saw them. Go figure. The wind was perfect for me. I could clearly see the hedgerow that was bothering them. I tore it apart with binos.... NOTHING. Very NICE HEAVY 9, a very wide 6 and tiny basket 5 pointer. Len sat where I did Friday on Saturday and saw the same deer. That time they went right where I was today. We can't surround them. Maybe tomorrow.

Gee, spooky, let's see:

Archery in since Sept 15th.
3 days early muzzleloader.
2 weeks gun
2 weeks late muzzleloader
2 days extended gun
now late archery season

I can't figure out why they'd be spooky.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Those deer did not get to live as long as they did by being dumb.
