Myself, I like the pre Rut.. I find they react better to Calling, ect...

And much easyer to pattern.. Just woundering what the mojorty is..

i like the rut, cause its the only time big bucks come out during day light.

Seeking phase. Chasing is too erratic (for me)....and it's a toss-up on where to set up. During seeking......you can still pattern the does. They're not too edgy, yet.

IMO pre rut, Ican still pattern them to a certain degree. Always have those variables though like the warm weather we are having right now here in Wisconsin.

The rut can be divided into a couple differnt phasing, my favorite time of the Rut would be the seeking phase, everything heats up then!

chase phase....harder to pattern but man it sure can get crazy in a hurry. that anticipation and adrenaline of seeing a pumped up buck come crashing through the woods chasing really gets my blood flowing like nothing else.it can happen at any moment.
