Default Back from Kentucky...

..and I have good news and bad news. the good news is that the area that I hunted last week had some really big tracks, andI knew he was around, and that has nowbeen confirmed. The bad news is that I put my oldest son there, and hesaw the buck ---- shot and missed! A very tall and wide 10 that he estimated to be 150ish.I went to another area, mostly to scout and got winded in spite of being sprayed down rubber boots--the whole nine yards. What can I say about a deer's nose that hasn't already been said? My scouting was very productive, and I do believe that it is a matter of time, and some luck. I am going to return the weekend of the 11th thru the 14th, with my skinning knife good and sharp!

Sounds like you have a bit more of a challenge on your hands now. Good luck!

Sounds like a great area to hunt Greg. Tell your son it's just a matter of time.

WooHoo, I am taking my son on his first bow hunt at H-H this weekend. I am also taking the video camera and digital one as well. I will post pics if we have any luck. Everyone pray that he has a good and safe time so, I will have a permanent hunting partner for life. Thanks, Steve in Ky.
