I am having trouble turning my thermacell on quietly, it works great but it takes a couple clicks to turn it on and its kinda loud, is there anyway i can make it less noisy...

i think they all take a couple of clicks to get them lit. I may be just ramblin, but i usually turn the fuel on for a minute and hold it against my jacket in an attempt to store some excess gas in there and then light it.it seems to light with fewer clicks, and holding it against yourself helps to muffle the noise a bit. it's tough to make that much racket in the woods, but the end result (being bug free) is worth a little noise.

I always turn mine on just as I leave my truck, and when in the stand then slide in the pad.

I am with Firerescue. I strike mine when I park and put in on top of pack. Never had a fire yet.
