Seen the Pan Angling Show but not this one in particular. I did see a show, not sure hwich one it was on the Outdoor Channel, where a female archer shot through a decoy to hit a turkey, gobbler! That to me was unethical but they made such an isue of it! Again not sure I would want hunters or anti hunters to see that, it seemed a bit careless and wreckless, and she was more concerned with the trophy thatn hunting safety and ettiquette!

Never seen and after reading this never will!!!! We have no room in our love for idiots like this. They make us all look bad this is what the anti's thrive on. It also turns off the general public who prior to viewing this may never have had anything against hunting.

I don't care for any of these shows, never considered huntin a "spectators sport".

Would I make a 48 yd shot? In an open field broadside or quartering away feeding, you betcha! Practice that far, shoot that far, will hunt that far..but I've have had very few opportunities like that.

On shooting through brush, If I couldn't hit a softball sized hole at 10yds, I wouldn't be huntin at all. I've threaded needles that far...Now, if you heard "clanky-clanky-clank" when this guy shot, well then it was a bad choice and too tangled...Like you said though, we couldn't see the shot from his angle.

As for the follow up in the butt, no way, poor taste to even show it.

Nope, I don't watch any of em...

I saw the show and thought all of it was slobbery. He comments on how a rifle hunter would find it "great hunting". Another is the A-Way dork. He was shooting a buffalo like it was some sort of pet at 20 yards broadside and notlooking like he was the least bit wild. He certainly could've been drugged seemed like to me. On top of all that every week he's always searching for words and fumbling his sentences and seems so awkward in front of the camera. I didn't mind his schtik until I saw the buffalo murder.

I saw one today that had a 10 year old shooting a crossbow. He shoots a deer and all is fine.At the end they have a deer and are talking about how the arrow went all the way thru, when clearly on the tape you could see the arrow hanging out more than was sticking in.Why do they feel the need to do these things. The arrow might actually punctured the opposite side but the arrow did not go all the way thru.

I agree that all were bad shots on the show you watched.I do however think a shot can be made on a 50 yard deer but the animal should never even know you are around.Conditions would have to be perfect.

Well, was that fluff? Or, was he serious? I hope he understands how we as responsible hunters feel about seeing such shows.

Just a few months ago I read about one of our members tried to thread an arrow through a bush, hit the deer but couldn't find it 'till a day or two later half eaten. Unfortunately I was the only one who responded that it was a poor shot selection. The other 20 replies were Ah, gee his name goes hereI hope you find you deer! That was a big rack!

Where were ya'll then? I didn't here anyone else say anything about it being a bad shot. Sure seems funny that when someone you know takes a bad shot your afraid to say anything, but when you hear about somone else doing it, you jump on the bandwagon.

I'm not pointing fingers at anyone here, just generalizing. It seems like when we have as many people as we have at this BBS More people will speak up when they read about one of our own making a bad shot.

Why would one of our own shoot through a bush? I don't know maybe they saw it on a video and decided they'd try it.

YES, I do agree that all videos should show more ethical hunting, especially with all the anti-hunting groups out there that wish to stop hunters!

FOOLPROOF?
Never underestimate the power of a fool!

What if the "Hokey Pokey" really is what it's all about?
