My dog Vars and I will be heading to our "job" in Illinois on Monday. We're supposed to be there by Oct. 1st so in the meantime we'll go to my lease in Ga. to hunt and maybe get in a few tracks. I know there's a few folks here that don't care for outfitters but it's a great place for my dog and I to get in a "lot" of tracking in a short time. This will be our third year in Illinois but our first for this outfitter so there's always that little bit of apprehension when you start a new job. I'm not worried about
Vars, he's real good at what he does. It's a real priviledge to work in a place where your liable to be tracking a new record. I may get a chance to check in once in a while and maybe post a few pictures. We're supposed to workthrough Second Shotgun so we'll be there until early Dec. Everybody have a"safe" and "successful" season and "may your tracks be short".

IAD, The other guides and I can hunt after the paying customers are done but not before. It's really wouldn't be fair to a client if we did hunt before then.

Dan, be sure to come back and post some pics of your finds. I know I've seen Var on the United Blood Trackers but many here are not familiar with viable resource a tracking dog can be.

As fast as my body and the good Lord will allow me to Dan. Looks like this cast is on til the 3rd of Oct. We'll see what happens after that.
