A non-hunter on a wildlife commision is like an atheist running our church. How do we let this craziness happen. The Maryland hunters need to lobby strongly and quickly for his resignation and removal. Ultimately, the Governor is responsible for this man being in this position. So, the Governor needs to have his cage rattled(politically).

I like to think I'm fairly intelligent, but am I the only one who didn't see a point in this article? This writer was all over the place! Apparently there are only two choices left to us:run a deer-fighting ring or just live with them being over populated. Maybe I just need more coffee....

After reading Joe Lamp's editorial, he does not sound to "bright". Sorry, just had to put that in there.

My meaning is that he said he is the only member on the panel that is standing up for the deer. The others are farmers and hunters. Surely he must understand the need to control the deer population. Yet he does not offer a solution for maintaining same. Someone took "Bambi" to heart as a youth and failed to realize that it was fiction. Keep up the fight brothers and sisters because we are going to have to deal with this forever.

Maybe Mr. Lamp and Disney should join forces to educate the non-hunting public. Their facts seem to be in alignment. I wonder if Mr. Lamp is a vegetarian or just a hypocrite?

Didn't the college professor say the season starts Friday? I think the prof needs to get a new fact checker. I know it happens but I have never seen a deer running around with an arrow sticking out of it. I think more deer are probable killed throughout the year by vehicles. So many people want to be the "voice" for animals and since I probable spend a whole lot more time in their habitat I'll make an educated unbiased bleat. "We deer wish we could thank all our benefactors that wish to end hunting, but we must decline. A more pressing concern for the deer nation is the staggering loss of habitat during the latest real estate boom. Did you think you see us along the interstate because we like to play in traffic? Eventually you guys are gonna have to try and import all those veggies in your salads, because I can tell you one thing on the front lines things ain't looking good. We deer are use to being hunted, development has gotten rid of allthe four legged higher food chainers. Take away any agenda you have and answer one question for us deer. What possess the greater threat to deer, the familiar predator that helps keep the balance between herd and habitat, or the relentless encroachment of liberals, conservatives,Republicans,Democrats,PETA members, NRA members, mankind. If it were legal for us deer to carry weapons we wouldn't waste our ammo on the guy we smelled 20 feet up that tree, but we surely would take a crack at shooting the tires out on that bulldozer."

There has been nearly 300 murders in philadelphia this year to date.

There is a war that our country is involved in, and our men are getting killed every day.

People are staving all over the world every day.

My point is if he needs a crusade, imo he could find a much more deserving cause.
