Setting out a stand now?
#1
Ok I have another question. I have patterned a bachelor group of bucks and I have a stand location picked out. The only thing is, is that opening day is on Saturday(15th) for me. If I put out a stand tomorrow will it detur these bucks form passing through this way? Thanks for the help.

Not really .... if your careful about your sent , just make sure you put some type of sent killer on your clothes and boots.
You might want to use some sent pads on the bottom of your boots as well and make sure you spray your climbing sticks or what ever your using to get up to your stand.
When it comes to treestand placement , you'll want to make sure it's not to low that you'll get busted and place it above some limbs that way it will help break up the out line of the platfrorm.
Wear some type of gloves too and avoid touching anything along the way in and out of your hunting area , it wouldn't hurt to use some type of cover sent around your stand either.

you could still set the stand now and hunt somewhere else for the beginning of the season and give the deer a chance to get back into their pattern, at least you will have the stand set up for later on in the season.

I set a ladder stand one afternoon last season and 5 hours later shot this buck!

So my answer is. If your careful with your scent, hiding your stand, and playing the wind. You'll be just fine
