Where do you gut your prize? Does the gut pile effect other animals coming into the area?

I always take mine back to the house or cabin depending on where Im hunting. Its much cleaner and much easier when the deer is hanging and you have access to water.

i always take it back to the cabin. no need to field dress really. but i can understand other peoples need to do so in certain settings

I prefer to get it out of my hunting area. I usually load it up and take it elsewhere to gut it.I have shotdeer and hunted the same stand the next day and seen deer.

I usuallydo my gutting right where the deer drops. I like to do it as quickly as possible so the meat cools properly. The left overs feed the local scavengers, fox, buzzards, and crows.

I'll gut the deer out right where it drops since they run some distance away from my stand , put the heart and the liver in seprerate one gallon ziploc bags and dragit to my truck.

I mostly stalk hunt so i dont really have to worry about if its too close to the stand or anything so i gut it where it drops.

Here's one for you...I don't usually gut my deer....Only if it's pretty hot and need to help it cool....Other than that, I hang it in the barn, bone it out, make a small incision at the short ribs to extract the tenderloin, put it in the bucket on the Deere and haul it to the "graveyard"...
