That rear leg isn't even working. He's just standing there, and that leg is just hanging......I'm actually betting he did in fact get hit by a car......That theory may not be as far fetched as we would think.....

Id kill him the first chance I got if he still looked like that. Or maybe give it a month and see what happens. IDK but something isn't right. My bet is a car hit.

I hope that is all it is and i wont shoot him for a few weeks to give the lil guy a chance. Plus, i dont think id have the heart to shoot him. I know he has survived three to four weeks like this, because that was the first time i got him on camera like this.

Unfortunately, in Arkansas, even if you saw that mangy sick deer in your herd, you couldn't shoot him. He doesn't have 3 points on either side of his rack...

I would give him a couple of weeks. If he doesnt improve then you might want to do the humane thing.

I am with everyone else - if he doesn't improve you have to take him just to put him out of his misery - it would be wrong not to - IMO

I think it is road rash as well. I am with you in the fact it would be hard to take him. He has food(corn all around him) and I saw a show a couple of weeks ago where a rather big buck had lost the bottom part of a rear leg and was doing well until that show.
