I work at a TV news station and November is a "Sweeps/Ratings" month. Nobody is allowed any vacation or unpaid time off period. There was a new girl that boughttickets for a cruise during that month and they would not let her go even though her tickets weren't transferrable. It sucks!

I am self employed and can take any day off I want in hunting season although I still have lots ofwork to do, so I have to use them wisely. I teach a tax class two nights a week thru hunting season as well, pluswe have a newborn at home for the first time so that will add more constraints.

I work noon - 8 pm m - f, and since I hunt in my back yard, and have 600 acresto hunt 20 minutes away,I can hunt 5 mornings a week, and all day if I chose on saturday.

The first week of rifle season the entire company doesnt open until 10 am, so everyone can hunt if they chose.

I'm self employed. I work12-14 hours a day seven days a week leading up to bowseason [8D]. When October 15th hits, my work for the year stops and I'm hunting all day every day through November.

I get out of work pretty early.. 2:30 PM so I can usuallyhunt every day of the week during theevenings.. Mornings, its pretty much weekends and the time I take off. I work extra duties here at my school to get an extra personal day or two. Depending on the Districts needs. I work 190 days a year so the rest is for scouting, hunting and shed hunting.. (my summer business I make my own hours fit nicely into summer scouting)

I'm on vacation for early antelope seasons opener and late whitetails closer in Dec..

I've been known to get sick afew daysduring Oct and Nov... as well..funny how that always works out..

I had to work a solid 3 1/2 months straight without buying anything extrajust so i could get the $12-1300 i needed formy equipment.....sometimes it sucks being 17. It'll be worth it when i can spend my weekends in the woods waiting for "that" moment when i'm shown a perfect broad side by a 10 pointer. I can't wait!

I own my own business and I usually hunt afternoons, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Wife knows how much I need to bow hunt. It keeps me sane owning my own business. I always take care of her for letting me do my thing.

The only thing I have to negotiate is my belly and the sofa. I've lost about 15 pounds up here in NY just from staying active so the belly is less of a problem.[8D] Life is truly backward. We should be retired from age 22-52 and then work the rest of our life. We should be given a draw allowance during that time that would provide us with all the arrows, beans and transportation to hunt. It would have been so much more fun to be lazy at 35 than it is at 63.
