Pressured my Deer!

i was out scoutin a few minutes ago bout 11:00 and i wanted to go see the sign at the old apple tree in the deer's secret hiding spot. well i sneak in from the side get about 40yrds from it in all this thick crap and broomsage and bam i seen horns fly up and stare at me.. there was nothing i could do. i seen at least 2 deer take flight, no snorts or nothin though.... a buck and a doe...well now i know the deer are coming here in the day time(or was) and my season still over a month away, there maybe 1 good pine for a hang on but didnt get to look cuz i left as soon as i spooked them. should i try to go back and do further planning or leave this place alone?

I would just back off but defintaly hang your stand early enough to let it the spot cool back down unless you are using a climber. Then Id just wait until it was time and get there early enough to get 'er set up. The less visited the better I always say........yeah

Stay outa there untill you hunt Maybe you'll get Lucky otherwise I'd be looking for escape routes in the direction they went and look for other bedding area's. That and I do my best to hang my stands aafter Turkey season in june when posible, that way I may sneak in and put a trail cam to see whats going through, other wise I wait untill the day before a hunt, and very carfully sneak in hang my stand and be in it before sun up. I found you don't get many second chances with the Big Boys, especially if your hunting State land Like I am.

You have founda bedding area, at least for the time being, since it is close to the apples, that you have 'violated'. They may not feel so secure right now, but they will probabaly not be run off from feeding on the apples, even if they don't use that same, close, bedding area.

if it were me, i wouldnt have stopped. the deer are spooked and gone...get your scouting done and hang the stand right then and there...then dont return until hunt time. now, going back it you may likely jump them again. once, a month before season shouldnt be terrible...but you keep wakin me up in the middle of my naps and im gunna find somewhere else to nap. id definently go back in asap to finish what i was doing....give things a month to cool down before the season...

I was in my deer honey hole in mid May when I shot my Spring Turkey. I went in there in the first week of June ot take some fawn photos. I haven't been back....nor will I go back....until the opener.
If that gives you any idea

yeh jeff this was the first time ive been in here this year... i just thought i would check out the apple tree....i could always replenish the tree with fresh dropped apples during the season
. but i need to get a stand in there if im gonna hunt it, they wasnt bedded down they were eating. so based upon that id like to hunt this spot. i think it will kill where i currently have stands. but idk i dont want them to run across the road to my buddies place if ya know what i mean.
