I mix about 3 tbs in my water jug to help mask my breath.

I've used it before during preseason and had success with it. Couple does came under my stand that hunt and ate the leaves, branches, and bark from the tree I sprayed it on. Use pure vanilla mixed with a little water.

I no longer use it though.
Any reason why you dont use it anymore?

No particular reason, just don't feel like fooling with it anymore.

I dunno, I may use it this year in early October if I don't see much action to begin with.

The Fish and Game Dept. at LBL in Kentucky use to use it as a lure to trap deer. Russell Hull I think had the first Vanilla based lure on the market called Cover up, Russell was a well known Big Buck killer from Kansas.
The first time I ever used the stuff I had a big Doe come in from down wind, and hunt me down, Picked me out of the tree from 30 yards away and began blowing, stomping her feet. I have never used any type of cover scent, since that day. (around 23 years ago)
I have used quite a bit of it mixed with a few other goodies in aspray bottle for establishing Bear Baits though.

I used it a few times and only saw raccoons. I tried peanut butter once and the same thing happened. Deer in my area seem to not like any type of odd smell. Doesn't mean deer in other areas wouldn't like it though.
