I like to be in the stand about an hour to 45 minutes before sunrise, if I'm using a climber I try to time it so I'm all done climbing by that time. And I use the red lens on my headlamp so my eyes don't get blasted.

Sunrise is well after first light.....and it's legal shooting time, here (first light)

I usually get in 15-30 minutes prior to the sky starting to turn blue, the real early stages of blue. It's so peaceful and cold.

Half an hour or so, just as the horizon starts to lighten.

I usually get in at least an hour before, depending on the stand. It takes quite a while to get the tree-arm and cameras set up and all. Some stand i can sneak in a little later but most im there early, about an hour and a half before sunrise

1/2 hour to the usual spots more if needed. I like to carry a light both in and out at dark. Regardless if I need it. It's more so ifothers are there..Even on exclusive farms, I don't want to take the chance of someone being there who shouldn't be.

I'm glad you said that, Jeff,because I was about to. Normally, I'm in my stand a half hour to an hour in total darkness. Maybe we should be using the term "civil twilight".
