Im watching it right now (DVR).
I don't care whether you like the guy or not...how can anyone argue with his "opinions". When you get right down to it... (his approach) ......he's .....well.....he's right. He DOES do it the "hard way" |

I think I am one of the few to actually like tred. Yes he is cocky but I like how he does things the hard way. I think I have been watching to much tred lately as I am gonna try to shoot a deer with a recurve and wooden arrows. A grizzly at 8 yards with homemade arrows and broadheads is awesome!

I really like Tred a lot, its the one show I make it a point to watch on Versus.
He's a whack job but alot of it is tongue in cheek and he pokes a lot of humor at himself. He's really entertaining if you watch him with that mindset. You cna't watch him thinking everything he says and does is deadpan serious or you'll hate him. His show is good stuff. I do agree that wingshooting geese with a longbow is "Doing it the Hard way" That can't be argued. :D |

Got nothing to do with wheter or not he's "right" or not. He's right. He does it the hard way. He just had 34 unsuccessful mule deer stalks......and one wounded (but unrecovered) doe. Before anyone judges that....... let's hear who's completed this hunt, successfully. Check that....... ONE successful. He just scored. I just started shooting a longbow. I don't care who ya are......thats a pretty awesome hunt. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he may be a tard, butI would rather hunt with him than any other celebrity hunter. He is for real and speaks from his heart, not his ass. He could care less about being politicaly correct, he cares about being right!And as funny as he is, I bet he has forgotten more than a lot have learned. You don't kill that many trophys without being a very skilled hunter, unless this is going to turn into a location thread!!!:):):)

But when you fling arrows at something you just jumped up at over 40 yards and video it for the world to see. It would be one thing if he was half as good a shot as Fred Bear was but with his weapon of choice but he isn't,atleast from what I have seen he isn't. Before you ask,I have used wooden arrows and recurves before.I choose not to hunt with them though. |

Yea, he is a total @ss. But what a shot !! I watched him shoot that goose with his longbow a couple of days ago. WOW !!
Last year I saw an episode where he and a "friend" went offshore fishing. Tred was an overbearing, no-it-all jerk the whole time. All I could do was sit there and think "who in the hell would be his friend if he treated everyone like that" . At the end of the episode, the friends defends Tred by saying "that's just the way he is". If any of my friends talked to me like that, they would probably need a new hunting buddy or at least a boot removed from their @ss. |

I've only seen one of His Shows in my life. My first impression of his show left me wishing I had changed the channel earlier!
It was the show when he was Sea Duck hunting with the Retriever....the dog had so much trouble getting back to the boat in the currenthe had to go after it. Itis an opinion that was formed after only one viewing but sometimes thats all it takes to see what you personally dont care for and wont spend valuable time to repeat! If it was a Reality show type of thing he was trying to achieve I think he did that. Reality being he's agood example that someone with a TV show can be a bad example. |

I do believe I heard him say that 20 yards is his maximum effective shooting distance, then in that same episode he was flinging arrows past 40 yards. I can't remember if it was a Caribou or muley hunt, either way I think the guy is a tard that is stuck on himself.

I should add, he might not be for everyone, and I understand that. If he does not reach your ethical standards, don't watch. If hunting with a long bow and wooden arrows is not modern or effective enough, don't watch. If you can't see his humor, that he clearlydoes tohimself, don't watch. Remotes are so cheap and inexpensive, invest! Personally, I love the guy!!!! I hope I can take a bear like he did with my compound, because I will never have the time to get good enough to make my own arrows!:)

Compared to 99% of all HUNTERS......he does it in a manner that MOST would agree is "harder" than the "norm" I dont care if he beats his kids.....kicks his dog....and slaps nuns. He hunts the hard way. |

Celebrity death match probably would love this. He's a pretty solid dude with a workout routine that separates the kickers from the kickees. Never siad he'd kick your ass......just reminds me of an Andy Griffith episode where Barney was gonna take Ernest T. Bass out back and work him over. We went from whether or not Tred hunts the hard way to having to justify his crass attitude pretty quickly, though. It's really irrelevant....his attitude. |

Aint it funny how you can start a thread about how the guy hunts nothin more and everbody shapes and molds it to his attitude in which you cleary stated you could care less about, you were just stating the fact about the way he hunts. goes back to my light bulb thread....or is it lightbulb?
