I'm with ya Little Cheif. I would have probably taken something smaller but, now I will try to hold out for something larger.

Last year I met my goal of shooting a buck with at least four points on one side.

This year I'll stick to four points on both sides.

Last year I imposed an eight point rule on myself and passed on a small six ( let'em go to let'em grow ) sorta speak , I ended up not filling my tag and letting my team down in the contest.
This year I'm still holding on that same eight point rule but as the season comes to a close I'll will break down and settle for something smaller just to score one for my team this time.

ORIGINAL: early in

How many out there have a self imposed minimum antler size in order tokill a buck this year? What would that minimum be?
Honestly, my goal every year is to take an animal that goes 125" or better. This year, with my injury and 2 weeks, I'll take the first buck I feel is 100" or better.

I take no 1.5 year olds so it's more age related than antler size. You can tell by some of my past deer, the broken rack, the similiar one on my bday that I'm not so much into antler size as I am into the memory of the hunt and the age of the animal. The last 5 bucks I've taken have been 3.5, 2.5, 3.5, 2.5, 2.5.
