Default dead down wind...

just a heads up for you DDW users...cabelas has alot of their line onsale. i ordered some foam, shampoo and soap. think they were 3.88 each. cant beat that!! never used any of it before. i know scent killer on the skin is usually bad news so i want to try the foam for my hands and neck and face and such..never used soap or shampoo...not sure how effective it will be, being i shower the night before...but DDW is supposed to prevent scent...maybe it'll help...if not, it was only 3.88

just a heads up...i know scent is mighty important to alot of you...and alot of you like DDW...i really liked their field spray last year

btw...speaking of the spray...walmart now carries it. dont know how many were in my situation...but last year i had to order it or drive atleast a half hour out of my way for it...noone around here carried it.

dang....oh well for that price i couldnt pass it up...and they say the shelf life is 2yrs. i will wait till i find the new field spray to buy that. seems to be the most important part..to me atleast. heck, before last year i never touched and scent eliminators...funny how rifle hunting i never seemed to hear that SHEEEEEW noise and see the white flags...but first day ever bowhunting i heard it more than once...heck...the first week i could probably sealed the deal if i wasnt getting winded so much

I'm glad you brought this up. I bought some at this year's Buckarama, and I was working out the other night, sweating a lot --obviously--and after teh work out, I thought I would give it a test drive. I sprayed some off brand(Hide Out)I got last year on one arm pit, and DDW on the other. The DDW didn't kill my scent, but the other did. Antone else have any experience with it directly like this?

I've been tempted to try some of their other products, but I am gonna try the homemade scentkiller this season. Cheaper to make, more volume. Just hope it works.

manuman...thats odd. i had gasoline on my hand the day i bought DDW. figured what the heck...i'll test it out right now! sprayed it on...gone. ahhh its wet...let it dry...still gone. made me a believer.

had a big mature doe come in last year with a fawn. came in down wind. the mature doe walked RIGHT under my tree. was eating the suckers coming off at the base of my tree. i use a climber. i overhunted that stand. i walked around the base of that tree 100 times that season. she never even lifted her tail. i couldnt believe it. thats wearing leather boots too! (soaked in DDW before every hunt) set my pack and bow on the ground while i climb, touch the tree etc etc...i thought for sure i was busted. my pull up rope was hanging at that time. hit her back so she sniffed it. dont know why i didnt pull it up that day..but i didnt. always do. i never sprayed it and touched it with my hands alot that werent sprayed. she sniffed that and raised the tail.

made me a believer.

also used White Lightning and a scent spray from walmart..scent killer or something. they all seemed to work. but the one i got at walmart didnt work well on the gasoline test...and white lightning turned everything i own chalky white.
