Honestly, it's certainly work to put in food plots, time and money as well and that is certainly harder than doing nothing and shooting the first 1.5 year old that walks by.

Why do you assume that because someone shoots a 1.5 year old that they do nothing??
Did not make that assumption but if that is the case, the food plot and the older deer was harder.

Everything is work...........getting up at 3 am and driving 2 hours and sitting all day before the 2 hour drive home is work too. So if a guy does this and shoots a 1.5 year old will you say he worked harder then the guy who got up at 6 am and walked out of the cabin to his stand and kills a 3.5 year old??
Everthing being equal prior to the day in the stand then the early riser worked harder...duh.

Why do I have a feeling that you only consider it work if it results in a large racked buck??
Wrong feeling. If two guys shot a 1.5 year old and one guy worked all year on food plots and feeding them artificial supplements to grow their racks and the other did nothing but get up and shoot a deer, obviously one worked harder than the other. I made this example because you said it was not working for it. That scenerio in your quote below can and is major work most of the time. See your quote below:

Original atlasman:

Work for it??.....

How is buying a piece of land and just not shooting anything for a couple years while you feed them artificial supplements to grow their racks considered "working for it"??

Germ,

I thought long posts that state the obvious would fit in quite nicely.

15 minutes left. [8D] What's the page count?

I don't know what the deer population is where you huntatlas, and I'mnot trying to pick a fight. Pass up does to create numbers, ok we have the numbers, take dose to keep it in check, over population is unhealthy in all species, thay will self destructe. Thats elementary, you should have paid more attention in school.

What is a dose? I think it is the amount of medicine you are supposed to take at one time.

Overpopulation is unhealthy, but does not necessarily lead to extinction as you previously stated. It leads to anatural reduction of the population through starvation, etc. It is unpleasant, but the end result isthe same as if the does were shot. That is biology and I did pay attention in school.
