Default What an opening day

Today(Aug.18) was opening day in California. It was quite exciting. We didn't see as many bucks as we have before the season, but my dad seen a monster about 140 yards out. But he couldn't get any closer. I had 2 decent bucks cross in front of me, but they stayed in the thick brush and I couldn't get close enough for a shot. Then a 3 point took off from us later in the day. Then the clouds came in, and then it got kinda interesting. All 3 vehicles talking on the CB, then came the call that my sister's boyfriend shot a forky, but they couldn't find it. It was getting dark, so we all got flashlights and went to help. The arrow broke off in the deer, so all we had was like 3 inches of the arrow, and no blood trail!!!! We know he got him, because the buck took off with the arrow in him. We are afraid that he is bleeding internally, and who knows where he went. So we finally called it a night, and we have plans to meet where he shot him, and start again. Nobody wanted to leave, but we really didn't have any choice. So hopefully I will have some good news tomorrow.
