Default Mechanical Broadhead Poundage

My bow only has about 65lbs of pull. Is this enough to shoot mechanical broadheads? I am thinking of trying some Rage Broadheads. I have also looked at Spitfires. At my poundage, what would be reccomended? I currently shoot Thunderhead 100s.

First off, heck yeah that's plenty. It doesn't take being here in the forum very long before you figure you've seen every question that could be asked (other than the way off the wall ones like I ask), and this is a new one. You ask if 65lbs. is enough bow to shoot Mechs' and that's pretty ironic since there's been threads on here where folks go back and forth on why to pull 60+ when 60 and under is sufficient for the majority of the game we talk about here.

Where are you at in Ga. YakFisher, is it warm enough for ya right now?

I'm from Grovetown near Augusta. Man, it has been blazing the last few days. I planned a camping trip for this weekend two months ago and woudn't you know it, it's going to be the hottest weekend of the year!!! Thank God for air conditioning and Satelite TV. It's sooo hard to rough it!!!

BTW, thanks for the response.

The guys at the pro-shop refer to my 67lb Reflex Growler as a "cannon". I'm not sure if they're talking about the draw weight, or the noise .

I feel your pain, I'm sitting up here at work (Ft. Gordon) as we speak. It's even too hot for me to go home and jump in the pool, that feels like a hot tub. [:'(] Ihave togo out in the morning to set up a couple more areas and really am not looking forward to it.

Why not stick with the braodheads you have been using? Saves you money and they are good broadheads. If it aint broke...

My wife shot two black bears with 2 blade Rage's last May. Both were clean pass throughs and she is shooting 55 pounds. I think you have more than enough.
