With bow season right around the corner and the temperatures showing no signs of cooling down, where would you most likely setup your standduring the early/hot portion of the season?

Here in California is very hot during the bow season, so I'm hunting mostly water sources/river bottoms

River bottom, mostly because that's pretty much all I hunt in east Arkansas. Might sneak into a cornfield before harvest time though.

I will be set on a small creek that flow to Green Bay.(Lake Michigan) When it is hot and dry it isa honey hole for deer. There is a pond like pool with low banks. That is where I will be.

I just got to Heifers. So this spring I planted Corn next to the feild I spend most of my time hunting in. right next to that is a nice swamp with a arteisian well. I will wait until I get my limit on deer before I harvest my corn.

Heres to Deer Hooooraaaaay Deer

my two early season spots are one a oak ridge in the middle of the woods. and Then the second one a main travel rought in the woods that leads to the corn field.

I have a real nice spot on the back corner of a Ridge Field about 25-30 yards in the woods and there is a nice 7 to 10 Acre Lake about another 40 yards below me where I will set up my climbing stand. If it is still pretty hot and dry by Sept 15 I think it would be a good idea for me to shuffle down another 20 yards in case a few deer decide to get a cool drink!
