OFFSET VANES

Default OFFSET VANES

What do you think about this. On a three orfourvan arrow each vane is staggered down the length the shaft from each other. I personally have not seen one like it, but at the local bow shop (the guy that runs the shop) told me if done properly it will fly normal. He then said that one company sales arrows this way. Have you heard of it?

I haven't seen it in person just read about it and saw a few pictures. I believe the thought is that you have more vane along the length which is supposed to increase stability compared to the normal set-up. I would think in higher winds though it would create more cross drag and push the arrowfurther left or right.

I could be way off base on this though?

I have heard of it and some say the arrows fly better, but I'm just going to stick with all the vanes being the same heigh.

The only drawback(no pun intended) is Rest Clearance.
