Advantages of a .019 size sight pin
#11
Since we are talking about fiber optics, I have a Cobra Sidewinder sight that has the fiber optic wrapped around a plastic cylinder, which then feeds to the pin. This summer I broke off the fiber optic leading to the pin. Well I unwrapped some of the coilled fiber optic and re-ran it through the pin, but it is not as bright as it use to be. Anyone have any recommendations on how to make it "shine" again?

Bam best post yet very helpful thanks. Ive been shooting and the pins actually pretty much cover the bullseye on me. I am not sure what size they are but I am going to check on some smaller ones now.

All depends on the range you'll be shooting.
For 3D....at 40 yds.....029 would cover too much of my target. I have .019 pins for 20 and 30 yds..... .010 for 40, 50, 60.
If I was only using it for hunting.....20 and 30 yds.....I owuldn't be afraid of .029.
