I have this size pin on my copper john deadnuts sight and was wondering would I benefit getting some bigger pins, I can upgrade to the .029 pins. Or is the .019 better?

All depends on the range you'll be shooting.
For 3D....at 40 yds.....029 would cover too much of my target. I have .019 pins for 20 and 30 yds..... .010 for 40, 50, 60.
If I was only using it for hunting.....20 and 30 yds.....I owuldn't be afraid of .029.

I was thinking of getting the .029 so I could have a bigger fiber to gather more light... But i dont know if the bigger pins will block to much out, they are already pretty close together..

i've found that the smaller pins have improved my grouping. aim small miss small theory. the .029 pins cover moreof your target. if you have a light on your sight that makes it even worse because the fiber optic "glows" and appears larger. you may not see a difference inside of 20 yards, but outside of that you will.

I also switched to using .19 pins. It seems to be working pretty good for me. My only reservation is withmy .29 pins my 20yd pin was Tritium and would glow on it's own for those early and late legal hour shots. I hunt mostly in the deep woods so light is an issue. I will have to go out and see if I can see my pins at dusk.
I wonder if Tru-Glo makes a .19 Tritium pin......I need to do some research.
