Default bow sight pin size

I'm looking for a new sight and can't decide between .19 or .29 pins. Any pros or cons. Any advise would be great. thanks alot.

My personal prefence for the past 6+ years has been .019 pins. Still plenty bright, but cover less of your target. The .029 seem too bright and too "noisy" for me personally. The .019's seem more precise to me, but it's probably just in my head. The .019's are not as tough, but if you have a good sight that protects the pins you should be fine.

IMO smaller is better, especially when dealing with fiber optic sites. As stated previously, the brighter the pin is, the "bigger" it is. In other words, the glare causes the pin to appear larger and covers more of your target. In the world of competition, several friends of mine cover their site apertures to dim the pins down some because of this.

I prefer the .19, doesn't cover as much of the target. I think it helps me shoot tighter groups.

I agree with the above. It's kinda like the difference between dual-x crosshairs and original crosshairs.
