Default New peep sights.

Hey guys, I just bought a 1/4" peep to replace my 3/16" peep today. I am kinda wary about installing it. How the heck do I get the old one out and keep the hole open to slide the new one in? The instructions included with the peep are from a bare start. The guy at the pro shop said I didn't need to undo the serving or anything. Please help!

Then the guy at the pro-shop should have also told you that you need a bow press to relax the string in order to swap them out.

If you try to pry the strands or some other method you risk damaging or flat out ruining your string.

Bow press.

My suggestion:

If you have ANY questions.......I'd have a pro shop do it. I've never seen it done without the bow being in a press.....but I may have limited knowledge.

Yeh GMMAT, the instructions say "separate bow string evenly, and slide new peep in." I was wondering just how strong of fingernails and how many hands I was gonna need to do it without a bow press!

You can use a string seperator, ive seen screw drivers, pennies, etc...all kinds of things.. You prolly could do it wiht on eof these especially because you already have a peep in the string..

BUTi RECOMMEND taking it to the shop and letting them press it..No use in damaging your string on acouple dollarpeep sight..
