When I use my peep sight at night. Its hard to see through. Im sure most or some know what im talking about. So I guess my question is, has anyone used any peep brighteners like Tru-Glo or various other brands?

I've never tried them...but the theory is that they are not good because the extra light close to your eye makes the pupil close down, and thus your low light vision is reduced. I have no idea whether this is true, but the theory makes sense...just like a flashnight at night close to your eye will reduce your night vision temporarily. I'll be interested to hear what others say.

If you have solid anchor points and shoot both eyes open it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe a light on your sight would be better suited. I actually just got done shooting outside, if you position the flood lights just right, you can have 24/7 practice [8D]

I floodlight shoot all the time!! Last year b4 bow season started, as in the day before, i was out shootin didnt have many arrows somehow lost them broke them whatever but had to go wally world to get some arrows and sighted my bow in 1:00 am opening morning.lol

Anyone else...possibly? maybe? yes? no?

ive used them and believe it or not they work pretty well...and it didnt seem to hamper my night/dusk vision that much...or at least i didnt notice that it did...id say give it a try if u have problems

the one i used i got at fleet farm and it had a piece of green florescent plactic that was built into rubber on both sides so you dont confuse it with your pins...it wasnt that expensive

People's eyes are different and what works for some is impossible for others, but I'd say NO. You'd be far better off to just get a peep with a larger aperture rather than a one of those bright type peeps. I tried one and it totally wiped out everything in front of it. I could barely see my pins, much less anything to shoot at.

And it was even worse when shooting in bright sunlight!

On one of my bows I use a 1/4" peep with an Archers Choice Grizzly sight and can see well enough to still be shooting in the evening when it's gotten so dark everyone else has had to pack up and quit.

id say give it a try cuz they are not that expensive but otherwise id do what aurther said and get a larger peep hole. that might hurt your accuracy a littlel
