the reason I don't put the animals down is I figure somewhere not far away is a coyote or some other large preditor wishin they could stumble on an easy kill today, after all they have family to feed also. So I get out of the way and let nature do it's thing.

I didn't end up seeing him again. I didn't really go in his area though, but there are plenty of bobcats and coyotes in the area, so if he does go down, he'll deffinately not go to waste.

the right thing to do was to take care of it right then and there do what HAD to be done and went about your business the laws are meant to curb criminal activity but they sometimes get in the way of doing what is right
