I should have added that you can remove the antlers to make a doe decoy and when using this decoy you can put some sent waffer's to it.
Like Cougars09 saiduse caution when using this decoy , it would be a good idea to put some blaze orange tape on it when transporting.
I agree with everything said there. I cant justify paying money for a decoy if i already have a 3-D target.

in ohio im not aware of any regulations against decoys. I hunt solely my own property with only my dad and a friend here or there, so other people, generally, not an issue. I am the only one i know to ever use a decoy near the properties. I do like the buckwing however i didnt know how easy it is to carry

I finally saw the TV commerical for the Bobbn Head Deer decoy.

This was actually the first time when a commercial made me not want to buy something that I had wanted.

It doesn't look realistic at all.

I have never seen a deer move like that out in the wild.

Great concept, poor execution.

Are you talking about the buckwing decoy?

Don't give deer too much credit....the wont be able to tell a "head-bob" from natural movement. I think that any added movement to the decoy helps.

I have had deer come into the decoy and just stare at it wondering why its staring away from them not moving. I think the movement would have eased their curiousity.

For bucks, its my opinion that you just have to catch them in the right mood. Of course they will work better on unpressured deer...

How about this one. I think this one is incredible and have been thinking about a purchase, talk about the bull of the woods.

I saw one of those in the Cabelas bargain barn on friday and it looked real.... real hard to carry and everything. I think it would work just alot of work to carry in and out and to set up looks like it would be noisy. That decoy is huge though. It may help if you used it in really open areas they may be able to see it farther away. I dunno though?????

I use a 3d target, I don't have to carry very far so its not that big a deal. I usually break it out in the 2nd week of november and almost alway get something in there checking it out at close range.

To me, that deer looks like it could use a few laps if you know what I am saying.

I started to usea decoy15 or so years ago. The first time a doe and yearling bedded down next to the thing. The next time an 8 point tried and tried to get it to move and when he could not, he bolted like I had smacked him on the back side. Since then I have only brought it out twice and neither times did I see a deer so who knows.

One problem I have is I forget that I have the dang thing out there and when I turn I think I am looking at a deer and my heart about pops out of my chest. Of course, most of you are probably smarter than me and that would not be an issue.
