Default RE: deer decoys?

ORIGINAL: Orion in IL

I finally saw the TV commerical for the Bobbn Head Deer decoy.

This was actually the first time when a commercial made me not want to buy something that I had wanted.

It doesn't look realistic at all.

I have never seen a deer move like that out in the wild.

Great concept, poor execution.

Are you talking about the buckwing decoy?

Don't give deer too much credit....the wont be able to tell a "head-bob" from natural movement. I think that any added movement to the decoy helps.

I have had deer come into the decoy and just stare at it wondering why its staring away from them not moving. I think the movement would have eased their curiousity.

For bucks, its my opinion that you just have to catch them in the right mood. Of course they will work better on unpressured deer...
