Most of time when someone steals from anyone you probably know the person or it is a neighbor who lives close to you or your hunting property.Put up some "No Hunting" or Trespassing" signs and some hidden"No Flash" trail camera's to catch the person/person's stealing your stands and PROSECUTE to the fullest if they are caught.

i coonhunt and trust me that's the last thing on my mind. i couldn't imagine lugging a big heavy pair of bolt cutters, then a treestand with a dog on a leash.i would say someone else found the stands and took them on ya.

I have two passions in life, running coon dogs and bowhunting whitetails. There has been countless times when coonhunting when I could have stole a tree stand, however I am not the type to do that. The purpose of my post is say that most coon hunters are very intelligent sportsmen. Although, the hunting community often looks down on these hunters and views them as "rednecks." From my experience over the years coon hunters are more responsible sportman than most deer hunters. Nothing agianst the deer hunters, I am one myself , but this is what I have concluded.
