Yeah. I do.

You can't compare the two.....but I achieved "success" (FOR ME) in hunting a LOT faster than I did in golf.

I can't speak for anyone else.

I always try to stay out of the conversations that involve golf. The only golf I've ever watched was from my bass boat. I did have to "caddy" once as a part of my CPO initiation. Caddy is in quotation marks for a reason.

Here is the major difference between golf and hunting (now that this thread has been successfully hijacked):

Take a pro golfer and your casual golfer and let them both play a pro level course and the casual golfer is going to get spanked. Let them both go play the casual golfer's home public course, and he will still get spanked (though his score will be better).

Put average joe hunter up against a pro on some highly managed land and the average joe stands a pretty good chance of scoring on the biggest buck of his life. The pro may get a bigger one, but it would likely be close. Put them both on the average joe's favorite public land spot and mr. pro is likely to get spanked.

It's very apples to oranges really, and yes I've done my share of both.

wouldn't it be closer to say that you put a professional hunter against the average joe on a land that ISN"T managed ........ THEN who has the best chance of scoring the Dominant buck .....

now I thing we are a little closer in comparison

PT, I was trying to capture the essence of being on elite grounds in both sports and then being on the average joe's home turf. But, yes, you're right on unmanaged ground I'd give the edge to average joe. Go Joe!

I might have to rethink this one.

Pennsylvania Police Investigate Strippers on Links at Pocono Golf Course.

And here is the major similarity: I'm passionate about both Golf and Hunting and with a torn achilles, I can't do either [&o]. I always said there are 2 season..Golf and Hunting. I'm on the sidelines for 1 and hoping to get back for the second.

I view golf courses as wasted deer habitat. All golf course property should be give to Fish & wildlife agencies for the good of the community.

I hear so much about how relaxing golf is but some how I am confused about how wrapping expensive shafts around trees soothes the soul.[]
The scary part is I agree 100%
