Fran, I just got back from my pro shop and they had an Iron Mace ...so I shot it
It was a 50 - 60, set at 60# ...... awesome bow ..the only thing different that I saw was the price .... they had it marked at $650 .....

As promised, I went to my uncle's place and got her tuned in today. I got the bow shooting bullet holes, thencut, crested, feathered anddrydustedmy arrows. I also removed the two brass nockpoints and swapped them for a tie-nock. I didn't pre-load the cams, didn't add any draw length, didn't twist the cables or anything, just took some weight off the nockpoint. Then, it was time for the Mace to put up or shut up.
29" speed pro arrow, 55 grain tip. So, that works out to 5.5 gpi x 29" = 160 grain arrow, then add 15 grains for insert, 15 grains for nock (used gold tip nocks and inserts - perfect fit) - and that's a 190 grain arrow. 55 grain tip, and that arrow came in at 245 grains. 3.5 grains per pound. Still under warranty with room to spare.
So, I fired up the chrono and drew it back... Kapooom -the arrow must've found a soft spot, andwent straight through the bag, into the drywall. We all just kinda stood in front of the chrono, waiting for the numbers to pop up...
Here's the chrono with the 245 grain arrow. Swear on my mother's life.

My cresting job. I wanted the fastest arrow in Western Pennsylvania to be gay and pink.Haha Apologize for the weak cresting effort - I was really pressed for time. Didn't have time to paint many rings on it, or get too technical.

Amazingly, very little hand shock, and I could actually hunt at this speed with their 55 grain heads. It shot a 100 grain head (290 grains total) at 339 fps with the same arrow.
The next step will be putting these arrows through their paces in the bag, see how they hold up. If they perform as advertised, I'll be hunting at somewhere between 339 and 369 fps.
FYI - the Kinetic Energy on both arrows worked out to be just over 74#.

Jeff - I thought it was all smoke and mirrors until I saw it today. I mean, the bow was really put-together, butthe speeds they were claiming were totally ridiculous.Had to see for myself.I guess it's all about arrow weight/spine, after all.
Bullethole - http://highcountryarchery.com/arrows.htm You can buy the arrows here or on ebay, but they'll void the warranty on any bow except the newer HCA lines, which are warranted all the way down to 3gpp. In all honesty, I'd look for other companies to start coming down to 4gppon their warrantiessoon -I think light arrows are the next big step in archery, but that's just me playing guessing games.

Switch to blazers and loose the wraps and you could gain another 3-5 fps!!!
I don't think they make hot pink Blazers yet. You should try to get on their shooting staff for that!!!
